Hello Super Stars!
My name is Jennifer Gracias. I was born and brought up India. I have a graduate degree in Accounting & Business Management, and worked as a Manager in India for 3 years. I moved to North Carolina in 2001, after marrying my husband Egbert.
I always had a passion to work with kids. After moving to NC, I volunteered at a Montessori school. Working there inspired me to go back to school and pursue education. I completed my undergraduate degree from NCCU and started my first teaching job in Vance County Public Schools. I worked there with second and third graders for six years before joining Wake County Schools in 2010. I was proud to receive my National Boards Certification in 2010. In May 2012, I earned my second graduate degree (Masters in education- Reading K-12) at Meredith College.
I am a blessed mom of two wonderful children (twins), a boy (Jaden) and a girl (Eliana). They are both full of amazing personalities, and studying at Ligon Middle. When I have a moment to spare, I love reading to my children, listening to music, cooking for friends and family, and watching movies.
I have been teaching for 15 years now. I am honored to be a part of Baileywick staff this year and will strive to be a positive addition to this family. I love to see the children play, learn and grow in knowledge every single day. I feel a sense of accomplishment when my students share with everyone how excited they are when they learn something new. Those are the moments that I cherish the most. My goal was, is and will always be to help each child reach their full potential.
